Oooooopsssss!! Just realised that we haven't done an update since we arrived back in Oz. But we are still alive and haven't been eaten by any sharks or crocs!! We arrived in Cairns on the 19th and got picked up from the airport by my uncle. Pretty much all we've done since then has been sitting on beaches getting brown. We went up to Kuranda one day, which is a market village in the hills. The journey up there was by train and then we got the sky rail back down. This is a cable car which travels high above the rainforest, we got some amazing views from up there. We have had a small road trip this weekend just gone. It was carnival time up in Port Douglas so we drove my uncle's bright yellow 'bomb' car up there. From there we headed into the rainforest and spent the night at Cape Tribulation, chasing frogs and being bitten by mosquitos. The rainforest literally meets the beach, quite stunning. We then headed inland to the Tablelands, which is completely different to the coast. We saw loads of waterfalls and cows. We're now back in Cairns and heading out to the reef tomorrow (hopefully no seasickness this time!) and then Nicko (my uncle) has a rafting trip planned for this weekend. Until then it'll just be beach beach beach - its a hard life hey?!
