So New York has come to an end, and I have to say I have done it again. As I said before I wasn’t bothered by the City that much anymore, but I met two Norwegians, who are awesome fun. It was there first time in New York so I took them on a tour. Downtown to start with, and we saw Ground Zero (seems like nothing has happened here in over a year (probably has though)). Its still very morbid and spooky down there, will be awesome once they complete the memorial and new towers. We also saw the guys entertaining the crowd by the entrance to Liberty Island Tour. That is something I really recommend! 3-4 Black guys entertaining the crowds, and they are really good athletes, the show is really funny, down at the docks! A highlight of NYC.
One of my new friends Max had to go see a hockey game at Madison Square so me and Jen (she’s wicked fun) made a day of it, visiting the Rockefeller centre and Ice-skated down there too. Something I had never done previously. Was so funny, she tried to get me to skate backwards which I have never been able to do – but I am improving. The top of the Rockefeller centre was great I actually have some pictures that include the Empire state now; normally I just get them from there. Wicked view, Jen tried to take my picture but couldn’t keep her hands steady enough – so funny, she tried 8-9 times! So I had my first experience of New York sober – not one bit of alcohol! Actually that’s a lie, a single beer with dinner. Again New York doesn’t disappoint! The City of City’s so much to do!
So it’s the final leg on to Cornwall and Ireland now, so excited to get to Ireland! Cross fingers.
