Hey everyone,
Sorry it's been a while but have had a few weeks of relaxing and got lazy about updating the blog. Got moaned at by mum even though shes so far away!!!
Hope everyone is doing good, we are both great looking forward to the Full Moon Party which is tonight. Tomorrow we move on to Puket so hopefully don't feel to ruff after tonight.
Since the last time that we added an entry we have done quite a bit of travelling around and then had a few weeks of doing nothing at all.
We left Bangkok on the night train up to Chang Mai to go on our 3 day trek. The first day we rode elephants which was really good they are so high. Once we had finished we had a 3 hour hike to our first camp, I though I would be able to do it fine, but no the hike was up hill and I couldn't breath after about 20 minutes, it was not just uphill it was steep and my legs were killing me. We had 5 others in our group and the were so far infront we couldn't see them. Our guide (Good was his name) stayed with me and was holding my hand and walkiing slow but I just couldn't do it anymore I
literaly wanted to cry. After an hour they got someone on a ped to give me a lift to camp and I was so happy. Darren caught up with the others easily and they got there about 30 minutes after me. The
evening was ok stayed in a hut which was abit uncomfortable but not to bad got to sleep ok. The next day we had another hike for 4 hours, this time it was not all up hill so wasn't to bad although it rained and was really slippery and my legs were killing from the day before. Dal slipped over which I thought was funny but then straight after I slipped over aswell. In the end I fell over about 6 times and ripped my trousers aswell (i'm sure you'll find that amusing!!). We stopped at two waterfalls on the way and had lunch, we went in one of them and it hurts you can tell I was enjoying my time on the trek!!!!!!!!!!!. Got to our camp and had dinner and in the evening played a game called spoons. Some card game where you have to try and get four of the same card and the first person to get it shouts and grabs a spoon. Everyone else also needs to grab a spoon but there is one missing and the person with no spoon got a black mark on their face. The black mark was grease (lovely thought I know) especially as I lost quite alot. The last day we hike for only 40 mins so was happy. We then went white water raffting and guess what I was the only c*** to fall in. I s*** myself but I didn't get hurt or anything and they pulled me back in the boat. Unfortunately no pics as obviously not allowed to take camera but would of been a sight im sure (bet your laughting right now at the thought of me drowning!!!). After be did bambo rafting and I didn't fall in. One of the blokes in our group dived in though and the water was really shallow and he chipped his tooth. He was a posh nob though so he deserved it for being cocky!!!! That was the end of our trek and I was so glad as every muscle in my body ached. We got dropped off at our hotel and we were both glad of a bath and a nice bed.
The next day was Dals birthday unfortunately we were going to be travelling in the evening to get back down to Bangkok so not really a fun day for him. Our train also got cancelled due to the rain and we had to end up getting a bus. It took about 10 hours and then we had a day in Bangkok before travelling that evening down to get the boat to Koh Samui.
