Hello! We've spent the last few days in the town of Agnus Water. Small place, only 2 backpacker places so lots of locals which is good now & again. The town next door was renamed Town of 1770 as it was the second Place where Captain Cook landed in.....wait for it......1770. We wanted somewhere to stay to break up another 12 hour coach journey. So 4 hours up the coast here we are. Its also the last place you can surf as you head North in Aus due to the Great Barrier Reef breaking up the surf & increased jelly fish! So, did some surfing (supprise!), think im getting slightly better!! Only stayed there 2 nights, but on 1 went to a Rodeo! They only hold it once a year, so lucky to see it. Full of proper proper red necks! Was great! Actually, only got to see last half hour as it finished. Good all the same tho! Then on 2nd afternoon/eve went on a 60k scooter tour round the area. Turned out it was an extra $5 to ride a mock Harly/scooter thing. Had to be done! Saw kangaroos, had beer while sun went down. All good Aussie fun! So, now we've arrived at Airlie Beach for our 3 day Whitsunday Island tour. Will let you know how it gets on...... ps. get this. Think im upto date on my journal!
