My heater must have turned itself off during the night and it was freaking freezing when I woke up!! Tried to plug it back in but sparks started flying out so I decided to live with it. Left Cusco by van for the sacred Inca vally. Stopped off at an Alpaca wool weaving "factory". They showed us how they made the wool and created the colours to die the wool. Apparently they use babys wee to bind light blue to the wool. Also for red they crush up beatles and use their blood for the colour. The girl proceeded to crush a live beatle in the palm of her hand and apply it to her lips as lipstick - charming! :)
Went into a field and did some prayers to the Inca mountain gods. This involved chanting, burying some offerings, and then drinking something vile (I have no idea what). The Inca preserve their potatos in such a way that they can last 20 years. Then went to a place where we were taught about making a kind of maise beer and played a game where you had to through coins into a bronse frogs mouth.
