Sleeping in the Amazon is no challenge for an experienced woodsman like myself. Thanks to the Bear Grylls box set I have back home I managed to whittle this rudimentary shelter out of twigs, leaves and some jungle vines in about 20 minutes. I better drink my own ****!

Got up early for the internal flight. The bread at breakfast smelt like garlic (eww!), not what you want to eat at 4am. The flight went via Cuzco and then on to the Amazon. The view from the plane was incredible - the rainforest just stretches on and on. We left our main bag and took a motorised boat up the Amazon.
