Blog Day 155 Sat 8th October 2011
Once again we are woken up this morning by Steve, the human alarm clock. This morning he is doing a version of Tom Jones sex bomb. It was kind of like being woken up in the big brother house as the lights come on & everyone starts getting up & joining in. A fantastic way to be woken up.
Breakfast follows & there are even more rather groggy people again this morning, we know this because not long after Dan came to bed last night we heard a group of people all trying to squeeze into the shower together & making a lot of noise about it (one of them being our roommate again). There were a few people doing a second dive this morning so they set of to do that whilst some others set out to do a bit more snorkelling. We however took advantage of the top deck of the boat being empty & chilled out in the sun for a bit reading our books. Before long we were setting sail & heading for Airlie beach once again. A quick lunch of a hot dog & then we were back on solid ground. Our new found friends happen to all be staying at the same hostel so we take a wander back together & arrange to meet up later on in the day for the rugby. Guaranteed it will be a big day today with Ireland vs Wales followed by England vs France. 40 winks & a shower later & we are off to meet Phil and the managers of True Blue Sailing to let them know how we got on over the last few days. A few handshakes & 5mins of talking 'business', then we have a couple of beers lined up & are talking as if we have known each other for ages. 3pm soon rolls around & with this brings kick off time, we head to an Irish bar just up the road & meet up with the Paddies. Unfortunately a disappointing turn out for the Irish so we keep our fingers crossed that England will do us proud, especially as we are the only 2 in the bar with our England shirts on. Another disappointing game of rugby see's England loosing. After 160 minutes of shouting at the TV we leave to drown our sorrows at the Atlantic Clipper after Party. Here the purchase of a beer is rewarded with half a Dominos pizza, this sounds like a sweet deal & turns out it wasn't a typical Hawaiian or pepperoni but a chicken pizza and meat feast pizza, which went down very well. Soon after this we are all up on the dance floor throwing some serious shapes. We meet another couple who we didn't even actually speak to while we were on the boat, Sarah & Steve another lovely Irish couple. Let's just say the dancing & drinking carried on until the early hours, ending with swapping details with everyone & heading of back to our camper.
