Today was very fun. We woke up at our normal Dublin time...10am....and were out the door by 10:30. We walked to the grocery store where we bought a few sandwiches for breakfast then headed over to the tourist information center where we would be catching our bus. Luckily, the bus was waiting when we got there so we hopped on. We rode around for a little while until we made it to the Dublin Zoo. The Dublin Zoo is the 3rd oldest Zoo in the world (behind London and Paris) and the number one Zoo for breading. Crazy! We walked around the Zoo for a few hours...we saw tigers, leopards, monkeys, lemurs, sealions, etc. If you name it, the Dublin Zoo probably had it. It was very cool because both of us haven't been to a Zoo in a long time. After the Zoo we hopped back on the bus for another ride until we reached the center of the city. From here we walked to the Connolly Train station to buy our tickets for Thursday morning's departure to Scotland. (Our train is at 7:30...it's not going to be a fun wake up!!) After the train station we walked around for a bit...went into a few shoe shops (Leigh really wants to buy some shoes) then headed back to the Temple Bar area for some lunch. We ate at a nice restaurant and were absolutely stuffed!! Following our meal we decided it would be a good idea to head back to the hostel for a quick nap...it turned into a 3 hour nap but who's counting!! (for some reason we are getting exhausted very quickly...it stinks!) After our nap we headed back to the Temple Bar where we had a few pints of Guinness!! Drinking good Guinness will never get old!!! After our pints we went to a crepes shop right around the corner and had some of the best crepes we have ever had!!!! Fantastic!! We headed back to the hostel after our desert to call it a night....tomorrow the Jameson Distillery is the first thing on the list!!!
B..Danny only aims to impress...maybe at the Jameson Distillery he'll be able to get another "degree." (don't worry law school is still the goal...it's just something else to put on the resume)
Bonnie...it stinks that we were unable to meet up with Nick while we were in Paris...it would have been really cool to meet up with both Giglios in the same trip!! But thanks for keeping up with us!!
