We ve had a manic couple of days here...
Day 1-We arrived at Hotel in the afternoon.
Then we headed straight to 15th floor to the pool on the roof with a lovely view of the river. From there we headed to the skybar which was also on the roof this was absoulutely amazing, the view at night was breathtaking however....
...so we the prices.
1000 baht(20 pound for two cocktails and 30 quid for two drinks at the restaurant and some bread) We soon made a brisk walk when we see the prices lol, although utterly ridiculas was well worth it because of the view. A MUST SEE.
Day 2- We took a trip into town to the Royal Grand Palace where we saw some beautiful temples and Buddhas, after being conned into a tuk tuk ride around town , however, only 60p not bad! lol and yes we did see some jewellery shops and some suit making shops which we hadnt bargained for! After this we...... got lost, thanks to Dan, no surprises there! lol. BUT fortunatly made it to a cafe in time, just as it started to drizzle, soon after followed by a monsoooon!! lol. well, mayb exaduration, bt very heavy rain, for a whole 15 minutes! so not to bad, after coming out of the cafe it pretty much stopped raining, so that was a bit of luck. We then went to do a spot of thai shopping, came back went in the ppol and went to a local indian restaurant, very nice (mango chutney..... or should we translate... apple sauce!! ) lol
