Washington by daylight
Back into Washington today for a free day, that's when we can do as we please without our trek leader. Our majority of our group stuck together bar a few. So we visited all the attractions we seen the previous night but in daylight, alongside the White House, the Old Post Office building and the African Art museum. Unfortunately we couldn't get as close to the White House due to it being Easter Sunday and some church services occurring before the White House.
The weather broke today and it started raining heavily, so we were glad for some shelter and a bite to eat inside the old post office building before embarking up the post office tower. While up there we could see the rain was still present so we decided against a walk to the Capitol and then got picked up by Ally at 5. Myself and the chipmunks were on cooking duty tonight and we cooked chili. Jin and Christine stayed behind with us while the rest of the group went to a liquor store. By the time the group came back the campfire was blazing, dinner was ready and we had made a serious dent in our vodka. At one point Jin, who's from South Korea, was showing us how to Gangnam Style dance while we were waiting on dinner cooking. After dinner we were all round the campfire with some s'mores then we invaded the other camp for some late night chatting and drinking, then it was back to bed and onto North Carolina in the morning!
