Ok, it is about time we got up to date as we are getting a little behind so her goes...........
The border crossing was a lot easier getting out of Cambodia than it was getting in. The drive out was very bumpy, apparantly there is an airline that is paying the Cambodian Goverment NOT to fix the roads so people will fly and not take the bottom breaking bumpy bus ride.
Our first stop in Thailand was Bangkok. We arrived at night and struggled to get a room- we were definately not expecting so many tourists. After getting a room just off the notorious Khaosan Road we ventured out to explore. We spent about four days in Bangkok, I think that was enough. We did our fair share of bars, deluxe shopping centres and more shopping on the Khaosan, oh and we went to Ocean World where we saw lots of sharks. We were there for the Kings birthday which was really nice to celebrate with the Thai's.
Then we set off to Ko Samui to spend a few days with Ju, Tim and Ella. We had a fantastic time, the villa was luxury and had a lovely pool. It was wonderful to spend some time with them, Tim took us to see some Thai Boxing which was really cool. We pretty much chilled the rest of the time with Ella entertaining us.- Thankyou so much guys xx
We had only five days left so we did a bit of island hopping to see as much of Thailand as we could. We went to Krabi, Ko Lanta, Ko Phi Phi and Phuket. They were all beautiful but Phi Phi was our favourite, it was gorgeous and we could have stayed much longer.
Overall we loved Thailand. I'm definately a sucker for beaches with white sands and crystal waters, which Thailand definately delivers. It would have been nice to dive there but we didn't have the time, oh well maybe next year!!!
Much love
Dani and Mike xx
