Today has been the best so far, it all started with a mountain bike ride in the national park, followed by lunch along the lake, a visit to a temple and a delicious dinner in a Thai restaurant.
In the morning they came to pick me up and take me to the cycling centre, they were all professional and I thought I signed up or the wrong trekking, I got told to pick up a helmet, gloves and other stuff to protect elbows and knees... omg what did I sign up for.... Withinn 15 minutes more people tried up and some of them were unfit like me :-)
After a quick presentation it was time to go, destination national park! What a beautiful pace so green and lush.
Mine was the basic level as I was not sure I could have handled anything more complicated, we were 6 in the group, 2 siblings from India, a couple from Australia me and Heaven from us. None of us was used to cycling downhill but we did so well that we got upgraded to level 3. Every single mussel on my upper body aches but it's been an amazing experience!!
By 3 we reached our final destination and surprise surprise I never fell, even though I got really close to it once.
Lunch at the lake was stunning, such a view and such a reward after all that effort.
Once back at the guesthouse I was knackered but there was still another temple I wanted to visit, so a quick shower and a stroll to the temple and there I found the cute fellow in the picture, isn't he adorable?
Well after all this exercise I was ready for a treat so I went into a proper Thai restaurant, by proper I mean that the waitresses couldn't speak a word of English, despite this I had a delicious dinner, fried chicken with cashews nuts, really yummy.
Tomorrowo I'll have to say goodbye to Chiang Rai and make my way to Chiang Rai, I had such a great time in Chiang Mai, I will miss this place!
