I had a really good time in Prague but it was exteremly hot and very crowded. It was sometimes a bit difficult to manuveur around but well worth the time I spent there. I met many interesting people and saw several good art & photography exhibits. I found a cheap hostel in Krakow, Poland so I caught a train yesterday at 2 pm thinking that I would be able to sit on a nice airconditioned train all day rather than walking around in the heat...WRONG! Cheap trains=no airconditioning. Just about every window on the train had a persons head hanging out like a dog. I tried to partake of the breeze but I'm not quite tall enough so I had to stand on my tipetoes but then I was kissing metal so I resorted to sweating and counting minutes. 7 1/2 hours is a lot of minutes. I finally arrived in Krakow about 9:30 pm. My hostel was supposed to be a 7 minute walk from the station but seeing as how I didn't plan on coming to Poland I was not adequately prepared. By that I mean I didn't learn any Polish words before coming and Exit is one of those really important ones. So of course I walked out of through the shopping center of the station. When I realized I was on the wrong side for sure I went back in to look for the information desk. After getting a few wrong directions from the security guards who don't speak english I finally found info and got a map. I headed off for my hostel and it certainly took me more than 7 minutes. The 50 lb pack on my back and 10 lb pack on my front slowed me down a bit. But I made it. Have had a good day here so far. Of course its beautiful. Saw a castle and may take a bike ride tonight. Chow.
