The Forbiden City is along side Tienamin Square so a short (or not) walk there. Had to wait while Crystal (guide) went to get tickets. It is hard to comprehend how large this place is, the size of a large NZ town atleast. Layer on layer of ancient stone courtyards and buildings. Wonderful carved stone staircases and beautiful ceramic decor…
