I got up about 1ish, as the girls were still asleep, I wanted to go to the view point, it is where you can see all the Island from high up. So I got ready and started the trek, got a slice of pizza, a bottle of coke and a bottle of water. Then walked about 10 minutes around the other side of the island and started climbing up the stairs. I must have walked up 300 stairs and I was knackered,I then had to walk along a path for about 15 minutes and then up about a 100 more stairs. (but the stairs were so steep it was unbelievable, it was like climbing a ladder! eventually I reached view point 1. You could see most of the island it was amazing! Then I walked up a path for about half an hour to get to view point 2. The view was even better! You could see the whole of the island plus an area that they can't afford to rebuild yet that got demolished by the tsunami. I was absolutely f****ed by the time I reached the top! (even worse than the 3 days of trekking we did in Chang Mai)! I stayed up there for about 30 minutes. As you could see right down on the island, you could see it getting darker and darker, then the rain began, I started to head down and then it was thundering and lightning and there was no cover. I tried hiding under a banana tree, which was ok for so long, but eventually the leaves couldn't hold the rain, so I decided to just walk back, I got drenched! It only took about 20 minutes to get back down to the room. When I got back I jumped straight in the shower. I got ready to go outand noticed I had the same rash as the day before, (not good). We them went and had something to eat then went out for a drink or 2 or a few more!!!
End of day 41.
