Got up about 11am got ready, went and picked up my laundry and grabbed a slice of pizza on the way back to the room! When I got back the girls were ready so we left to go on the pirate party boat, as we had to be there by 1pm! About 20 minutes after getting there the people who were not eating left for the boat, it was about a 10 minute walk to the harbour. We had to walk across a bit of the beach and then walk on a rusty iron barge. Then we had to take our shoes off, to get on the boat! We took them off and everyone's feet were burning, so they threw loads of water on the floor. We were one of the first people on the boat, so we sat up the front on a big sun bed thing! The rest of the people came down about half an hour after we got on. Then the boat set off. One of the workers on the boat came around and offered people a vodka redbull or a small Chang. The boat was going for about 10 minutes when we reached Monkey Island. As it was a big boat we were on, it couldn't get near the shore. We had three options swim across, kaiak across or jump in the little long tail boat that we had following us! (our boat was about 500 yards out). I decided I would swim across, so I jumped in and started swimming, It felt as if I had been going for ages! I looked back at the boat and it was literally about 100 yards away. (wow!!! it took ages to swim in). I got to within about 50 yards of the shore and as it was low tide, there was loads of coral sticking up out of the water, people were getting cut by the coral and 2 people got stung by sea urchins! Everyone was on the beach, the monkeys were running at people and grabbling there legs, we were told if they run at you, just run in the sea. We were on Monkey Island for about 10 minutes as they were being so aggressive! while we were there we saw 2 monkeys having sex and another one drinking out of a beer can! On the way back to the boat Leanne and I were behind everyone else and a monkey followed us into the water. We eventually got on a kaiak and about half way back I jumped in the water, as the kaiak was only meant for 2 people. When I got back on the boat, I felt so sick it was unbelievable! The boat set off again and took us to Maya Bay, it's where the film the Beach was filmed! Everyone was jumping off the boat swimming around and snorkelling for an hour or so. (I tried snorkelling, but as soon as I put my head under the water, I panicked)! After that we went to Viking Cave and had another swim people were snorkelling again! then we had some rice on the boat and watched the sunset. The boat got back about 7pm, we were one of the first off the boat again! we walked down the iron barge the tide was in so we had to walk across what was sand earlier, we had to walk about 20 yards in at least 2 foot of water! We were told there was an after party in the Reggae Bar, so we went back to our room, got ready and went to the bar about 10pm it was a bit s**t to start off with but after about an hour everyone was talking to each other! we met some people. (Mckenzie, from Hull, Hullo, from Birmingham, Brice, from Cornwall and Alex, from Australia).
End of day 36.
