We are back in Airlie Beach! We left Cairns last saturday and headed to the daintree rain forest. As you may expect it was pritty wet in there and rained the whole time but it was an impressive sight the trees hung over the road and went right down to the beach. There was a real nice canopy walk and tower which took you up higher than the tops of the trees so we got some great views.
We headed up to cook town from there for a couple of days cook town is a really small town and there isn't a lot to see but it was a really friendly town everyone you passed in the street and said hi. The high light of cook town is probably the view from grassy hill this is where capt cook looked out to find a path out of the reef so as you can imagin your pritty high up its worth the walk the views were great.
On the way back down we went inland to the Atherton Table lands first night we stoped by a lake and i think this was the most beutifull camping spot we have had. We were about 2 meters from the lake and he only people we could see where the other side of the lake. We just had a short stop there we headed to innot hot springs and had a really relaxing day in the six different pools all of verring tempratures. there were filled up from the natural hot spring next door and the minarals were supposadly healing. I don't know about that but it was so relaxing!
Then we arrived back in airlie beach the van needed a survice and we have had it done here last time we were here fingers crossed they wont find out something else has gone wrong. The poor old van has had some hammer over the last 6 weeks!! Its nice to be back here i forgot how pritty it is we have also cought up with a friend from way back when we did surfaris! Next week were continuing down south we have booked to go to fraser island on friday so will up date with that next week.
