Oh god I don't feel well. We woke about 1pm & I had the worst of hangovers with my stomach churning like a cement mixer. It took forever to shower & get ready as Jac coaxed me out of the room to get a feed. I couldn't stomach the thought of Thai food so we found a burger king where we paid $12 for a feed. That hurts after spending only a $ or 2 for every other meal. After this we returned to the room where we slept for a few more hours. As darkness descended we returned to Kaosan road where George took us out on a tour of the seedier parts of Bangkok. We got to see the street where Thai girls are made up as Japanese hookers to cater for the Japanese businessmen. From there we got to see where the ladyboys work & it's really amazing what surgery can do. Our next stop was what we had come out to see. We paid to go into a club where we got a free drink then settled in front row for the show. Over the next 20 mins we got to see ladies doing things with their lady parts that really defy the limits of what the female body can do. Smoking a cigarette, extracting various items, shooting balloons with darts & of course the famous ping pong balls, where we were given paddles to join in with the game. It was all very bizarre & I guess there are definately easier ways to make money. We tipped the girls & as an encore to that we were given balloons to hold which were then burst with darts by one of the girls. Being told to cover our eyes was a bit of a worry but her aim was pretty good. Paul, a guy from the US who came along, & myself had our balloons hit first go. Poor Jac had to have about 10 darts fired in her direction before before the girl was successful. All a bit of fun but like eating the scorpion you only need to see these things once in your life. Thankfully Jac has decided to stick with teaching. We left there & went to a strip club where the girls were all over Paul & George. They make their money by getting the boys to buy drinks. I'm pretty glad Jac was there as they are pretty full on. 2pm had hit by this time so we left the club & stopped for a pretty nice hamburger. Then it was down Sukhumvit where the street hookers were plying their trade. It was at this stage that we lost Paul as Jac & I continued on with George. We arrived back home about 4am after a pretty surreal experience. It is so different to everywhere we have ever been, much like an illusion. A city that never sleeps, where anything is possible & anything can happen.
