It was goodbye to London as Shari dropped us at Stansted to begin our adventure. As we headed into the airport we realised that this was the coldest we would feel for a very long time. We checked in, grabbed a quick breakfast then headed to our gate. The plane was the fullest I have ever been on. Big bonus though as we managed to get exit row seats. Probably the closest thing we'll ever get to business class. Jac slept most of the trip as she is still not well. On arriving in Portugal we were happy to feel a nice temperature as we disembarked. We made our way to the hire car mob and bent over as they reamed us. Oh well. Then it was in to Porto to find our hotel. Driving a manual on the wrong side was pretty straight forward, what wasnt was trying to get around stupid one way streets with no where to park. It was very frustrating and we did about 20 k's more than we needed, & that's not an exaggeration. Eventually it was sorted and we checked in. The car is safely parked away and there it shall stay until we leave Porto. Jac then had another snooze for trying to recover. After a few hours though I woke her to go for a feed. After munching hard we hoped to have a look around. But unfortunately she is still not up to it. So we took her back to the hotel where she told me to go and explore. I grabbed the camera and off I went to the old quarter to get some lovely snaps and just take in the city. Nothing too exciting except for the constant annoying approaced from beggars. It is a very pretty place otherwise but will be much better if Jac can come and enjoy it with me. Hopefully tomorrow we can see all the awesome stuff.... together.
