so last day in Pushka, the small little brahman town. easy to spend ages here, many people spend months in this one little town, relaxing is very enjoyale. for the first day, i just stayed in bed, still getting over my food poisoning, not much fun, but discovered that bananas are fantastic at helping to cure it. erm, so the day after that i just had a small walk around the town and lake before chilling out on the hotel rooftop sipping a chai and had my first indian pizza in the evening, and met some very organised london tourists who had a private driver and had no time to relax in their very busy schedule, dont really envy it that much, very much restriced by the bounds of their lonely planet guide book. then yesterday i decided i was well enough to go up the 750ft hill just outside the main town, after reaching half way i realised i wasnt really better and should take it a bit slower, but the view from the top, wow. stunning, could see for miles around and just incredible. wondered a bit behind the little temple for brahmas first wife along some rocky ridge and after getting about 100m from the temple realised that this was probably perfect place for cobras to be resting out of the suns hot rays, and headed for safety at a much slower pace. ooo also saw my first snake charmers the other day on my walk too, dont understand why the snake doesnt bite, i know it probably doesnt have any fangs, but would have thought it would still bite. then in the afternoon of that day, i took the very poor decision to go for a camal ride. stupid idea! was really boring, and i managed to find out, the hard way, that the guide hadnt put the saddle on propperly. so ive now got a fairly painful shoulder after hitting it on some rocks in the fall, but fortunately nothing more serious. then he was still epecting me to pay for the ride, not a chance! on the trip he was hinting at a nice tip of about 400 rupees to buy the camel nice food, not to go towards his hash, and that this would somehow buy me karma?!?!? maybe i should have tried to buy some good luck, havent had much of that in a while.
anyway just killing time till my bus for jaipur, only got a night or two max there, so got a lot of sights to see and a bit of shopping to do. but should be good, pushka can get a bit boring.
