So we decided that after all the rushing and travelling that we would wind down by just doin KL and then head for our 'honeymoon' proper.
So we spent a few days in the capital and it is very impressive. Shopping central really. The Patronas Towers were immense and me with ma love of all things engineering I took about a million photos! We also went in for a wee movie. A chick flick, but I was just glad to be put of the heat!
Big highlight was meeting up with Del and Linda (Scottish couple from Salt Flats) en route to their stop in Japan before heading home. It was great to have a beer and catch up, but lunch was awful. Have to say, bar a few outstanding moments Asia has not been the culinary delight we expected, even though we regularly ate street foo and dined with locals. A quick trip to the markets in Little India and China Town for a few last-minute pressure and that was that. Lots of money and very expensive to drink there. And Kim hasn't done anything too stoopid to note so I'll move on.
As it not technically part of the trip I was planning on leaving out the honeymoon, but I'll give it a wee mention. Basically a private resort where we ate and drank too much on a regular basis, walked the length of the island to find not a lot, and lay by and in the pool - lots! I wouldn't say we were perfectly bronzed, actually, I just multiplied my freckles, but Kim got a nice colour (apart from the abnormal colour her belly went after some time without the standard factor 30. I had nine holes of golf - well, that's all I planned as my ribs were sore, but I only managed 8. I'll quickly skip the fact I lost the last of my six balls teeing off for the ninth. Shut it Rettie!!!
Had a great message and went snorkelling which was fantastic. If we didn't live surrounded by the murky waters of the Clyde we might shoe-horn that into the new hobby schedule too!!
But alas, w had to leave and make our way to Singapore. Stick with it folks, only two days left!!!
