Today Wednesday 14th May we went to Cannes for the 1st day of it's 61st International Film Festival. It was a buzz with people, photographers, camera crews, corporate tents and vehicles, security and huge yachts in the harbour. We had a beautiful lunch right opposite the red carpet building and watched the action go by. We tried hard to spot the celebraties but they were well guarded behind dark windowed cars. However, we did see a media scrum and lots of calls...

Wednesday 7 May - Paris Helen and Kaye spent the morning at the Louvee while Lynda finalised plans for the rest of the trip then it was time for shopping. This photo is of Gallery La Fayette one of the largest shops in Paris with huge price tags to match. Kaye picked up some lovely clothes to remember her visit to Paris.
Monday 5th May - Paris We spent most of the day hopping on and off the open top buses taking in all the sites of Paris including walking along the Champs-Elysees and having coffee and pastries near the Arc de Triomphe - a pinch me moment for Kaye. We then went ot the top of the Eiffel Tower and stayed their until dark so we could see the lights of Paris - spectacular and breathtaking
Monday 5th May Explored Paris on top of a double decker bus while listening to French music and commentary on the sites. We saw Sacre Coue, and the sunset from the top of the Eiffel Tower and saw the tower light up from the buttom. Spent time watching the artists at work in Place de Terre
