Slept in until 9:30 after a long night yesterday!
We decided we were going to have a look at the Louvre, one of the largest art galleries in the whole world! When we arrived we realized that it wasn't going to be open until tomorrow (Wednesday). On our way out we were surrounded and overwhelmed with the many gypsies/beggars coming up to us and claiming to be deaf and dumb, kissing the sign paper and making funny hand gestures.
We had a slow stroll over a bridge (Pont Neuf) and saw how many padlocks covered the bridge handrails. It was a common tradition to lock a lock with the name of you and your lover on it and throw the key in to the water. The lock remaining there forever representing love forever <3
Later we saw the famous 'Notre Dame Cathedral' starring in the movie 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame'. I was truly stunned by the huge, colourful rose windows covering the walls and roof. At 3 o'clock the large bells of the cathedral rang. To be honest I didn't really like the bells as much as the other cathedrals.
We ended the afternoon with a quick peek at the 'Arc de Triomphe' as it started to rain...
