We travelled inland from Bundaberg about 3 hours through lush green mountainous farming country, towards the town of Murgon. So we've got our bearings in Bundaberg and as we're staying here for a while I'll post about the rum factory a bit later on. There's sugar cane fields everywhere and a small port for the cargo ships to come in and cart it all away.these cargo ships are the same size that come into the port of Newcastle. Hard to believe. Well it's our final day on the Sunshine Coast and we finished off with an awesome lunch at Mikes garage. For all you rock'n'rollers you would love this place. It's decked out in 50's and 60's paraphernalia everywhere. Old styles cafe booths and posters and photos line the walls and ceiling. So we visited the famous Eumumdi markets today. They are amazing so may stalls with everything from arts and crafts to fresh produce. Eumumdi is a bit like Bellingin , very pretty leafy tiny town with the markets being the biggest attraction. We didn't buy anything but fresh produce however I can now tick it off my list of things to see and do. Crikey.... Guess where we went today. That's right Steve Irwins Australia Zoo. And Yes it is exactly what everyone raves about. What an awesome experience. There was so much to do and see and all the park and enclosures were immaculately well looked after. We saw everything from Crocs to Lima's, makaws, and koalas. Giraffes and tigers as well as rhinoceros . We went on the tram ride, climbed Bindi's treehouse and watch the croc and wild bird show in the Cricosium...
