HHHHHHEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Welcome to the very first installment of the Craig and Quince world domination plan! But don't tell the Canadians just yet...
The journey started at Heathrow Terminal 5 saying goodbye to our Mums - Mama Quincey, Mama Worsley, and TP. We took a short bus ride to the plane, where a Canadian lady thought Quince looked 16, which is a marked improvement from when some Americans thought he was 15 on his 18th birthday. We felt like we were treated like royalty on the plane, after we managed to blag an upgrade in class when we checked in - we're talking free drinks, 3 course meal, large selection of films, big seats, loads of leg room, and clean carpets! Made my Ryanair flights to Germany seem a little 'basic'...
So after 'Yes Man', 'Slumdog Millionaire', and Quince wondering why the sun hadn't gone down despite his watch saying it was 23:00, we touched down in the land of Canada! We were met by my relative Lyle and whisked away to his country abode on a short hour's drive, trying to take in the scale of everything out here - like the General Motors plant that is about the size of a small town! But everyone dresses the same in that town, and works for a faceless chief executive...reminds me of Pioneer in a way... (Ok, so perhaps a bit harsh) Nevertheless, when we got to the country retreat we had to deal with sitting down, drinking a beer or 2, and watching some ice hockey.
The next day greeted us with another short trip 2 hour trip to Kingston, and to Miekle & Margaret's house. Yet there was no sitting around to be done here, no no! We were immediately put to work in the garden, clipping things here and cutting things there, and then sweeping out the garage with our best cockney 'Step in Time' routines. Coupled with the jet lag, this promptly put us to sleep.
Today was really a day of following M&M around their daily routine, but we were comforted by the arrival of lashing rain that reminded us of home. However, we needed a bit of an event in our day, so Alec & Daria came to pick us up and took us back to their riverside home on the St Lawrence river - where i am writing to you from now.
We're both doing well, completely cream-crackered, and we'll put up videos and photos when we can!
