well hello everyone. i bet you all thinking where is al at the moment? well i spent 3 weeks in brisbane getting sorted with my bank,tax code.medicare card and also tryed getting work while i was there but unfortunenatly i did'nt succeed. but while i was there i met some great people. especially drinking in the down under bar most nights!! while i was there i went to australia zoo and also got to see steve erwin while i was there!!! that made the day even better. got some great photos. felt like the paparatzie!! i also went to moreton island for a day trip and got to try out sandboarding! which i liked alot but spent most of my time on my arse!! its really hard. i left brisbane with anna two guys from essex. adam and paul. big up the essex boys. we headed up to noosa. the first night there we got completely trolleyed and the next day we was asked to leave!!! o well. we spent another night there and decided to leave. anna got fed up with us so she booked herself on a flight ot perth. no only joking she needed to get some work. so she is staying with her aunt and uncle. me and the boys headed up to rainbow beach. as soon as we got there we thought this is s*** so we booked our trip to frazer island!!!! so the next we were on our way to frazers. had to get up at 6am and to meet the rest of our group at the 4wd center. there was me,adam,paul,josh from oxford,jo from manchester,farina from germany and not forgetting the 4 nutty irish girls laura,lyn,sarah and claire. we were the a-team!! the alcoholics. we bought 5 crates of beer and 4 boxes of goon!! for those of you who don't know what goon is? its cheap that gets you rotten drunk and you cannot remember the next day!!!. after we had loaded our 4wd drive with all the camping stuff,food and not forgetting the booze. we all headed off to catch the ferry accross to frazer island. everyone started drinking around 9.30am, except me and adam as we were driving that day. i drove for the first part of the day and then adam the second. how cool was it driving along the beach,everyone singing in the back and the tunes pumping!!! what more could you ask for?? it was great fun driving especailly through the sandy tracks but nothing the 4wd could'nt handle. at the end of the day we went up to indian point to watch the sunset. we climbed to the top and not only watched the sunset but got to see whales jumping out of the water and dolphins riding the waves!! i hope i'm not making any of you jealous!! especially mr townsend. that evening we camped with the 4 other groups. massive party. you should of seen us trying to put our tents up! me and adam could'nt do it. so got laura and lyn to do it. how sad are we?? next morning everyone waking up worse for wear,we all chipped in and got it sorted. me and laura cooking breakfast. eggs on toast with beans. me doing the beans and laura doing the toast and beans. her speciality!! joking around we said we would open up a cafe together and it would be called frazers egg and beans!!! it was yum. adventurely we set off for lake alomo. we got lost a few times but got there in the end. got to see turtles in the lake. they swam right up to us. later that night we had another drunken party. no surprise there!! i went to toilet at some stage and i thought whats that noise? it's only a dingo standing loking at me about 5 meters away! i s*** myself! went back and told everyone,they were like where,grabbed the torch and all you could see were its eyes! i went to bed about 12 and the others stayed up. they got in the truck and turned the light out and the next minute there were about 3 of them scavaging around the bin for food!! when they turned the light back on they legged it. but the next morning when i woke up there were loads of footprints around the camp from them!! i was first up that morning 7am!! woke everyone up by clanging 2 tin cups together and saying wakey wakey!! that went down so well. but we were going to lake mckenzie. the grand finally of our trip. we got lost twice going there so only spent about an hour and a half there but well worth it the place is beuatiful. so calm and peacefull. we were going to go for a swim but did'nt have enough time to dry off and get back in the truck. we had to leave but we did'nt want to and guess what we missed the ferry on the wat back!!! all in all i had the greatest time there and made friends for life. got back late afternoon and after getting sorted we hit the drink again. farina left for brisbane. the irish girls and josh were leaving in the morning for brisbane also and we were leaving for hervay bay. so we all went out with a bang!! hervey bay was ok. we stayed for 3 days. we met another 4 irish girls there aswell. the irish get around a bit. i've met so many of them. right up for the crac!! also while staying there we went on a whale watching trip. amazing,they came right up to the boat aswell. don't worry i was there with me camera again. i'm now in bundaburg, where i've been fruit picking for the last 4 days!! o my god how hard is it to some work after so long sitting on your arse!! the first 2 days my back was killing me and my feet!! but i would'nt like to say that i'm used to it yet!! but got to get some money together. next stop is airlie beach. i'm going to try and find work on 1 of the boats that sails the whitsunday islands. i've heard that if you work on the boat you get to see the islands and go diving without paying for it. i mean how hard can that be on a small boat?? so fingers crossed. probably going to stay here in bundy for about 4 weeks,hopefully i can hack the work. there is nothing else to do here and everyone here in the hostel is working on the farms. eveyone thinking the same way. well i hope your all enjoying the english summer and not forgetting the barbies!!! have fun and i would like to see some messages on my my site?
