hi all. how you all doing? well i thought it was about time i updated you with the whitsundays. we set sail on the 29th aboard a racing yacht called the iceberg. really nice boat. we left airlie beach around 10am. nice and sunny when we left. about an huor went buy and it started to rain!!! gutted but it made the sail more adventurerous along with the strong winds we had aswell. we sailed up towards border island and this is where we spent our first night. we anchored and got into the dingy to go and explore the island. me and adam went up to the top of the island.great view, took the photos as you do!! o yeh and on the way up adam managed to lose his thongs!!!! don't know how but we found them on the way back down. the girls were just lazing on the beach. we heard screams on the way back down! the boat ha dstarted to drift back into the sea!!! kate ran and caught it!! when the sun started to go down we went back to the yacht. beano who was the decky started to cook us dinner. i thought i was good at cooking!! this guy cooked up a storm. great food. after dinner had a few beers,played cards. next morning i woke up to the sound of rod stewart!! wake up maggy i think i've got something to say to you!!! i could'nt stop laughing!! had breakfast,fresh fruit salad. i told you this guy was good. after breakfast we went for a snorkel. saw plenty of fish and some nice coral,but kate forgot the under water camera!! after we set sail for whitehaven beach. got there late afternoon. went accross to the island in the dingy. we all went up to the view point first. what a great veiw of whitehaven beach. then we went down to the beach. i've never felt sand like it! it was like flour between your toes!! here we got the chance to try some stunt kite flying! it was great fun but mine spent most of the time on the floor!! adam and shell had it down to tee!! after we went back to the boat. mat our skipper said to us that we can stay here for the night but meant we would be sailing most of the next day to get back and we wouldn't be able to do any more snorkeling. we all opted to sail for a couple of hours down to hook island.this was a great sail.sailing at night,co chilled,drinking beers and listening to the ministry banging out of the speakers!! got to hook island and anchored. beano started dinner and mat started doing the steaks!! they were gorgeous. next morning we done some more snorkeling and there were a few stingers around even tho its not the season. had a sun bath on the boat after. then had lunch. after lunch we took a leisurely sail back towards airlie. the sun was shining and we were cruising!! i even got to have ago at sailing the boat!!! that was wicked,skipper al!! we all really enjoyed the trip and to top it off mat the skipper had booked a table at beaches for us all and to celebrate his birthday. we all had food and free jugs of beer!!! that got us all going for sure. me and adam hit the zambucas. after we went to paddy shananigans,then on to mama africas!! what anight. the next day we carried on the party aswell!! but all good things come to an end!!! off to townsville next and then cairns. speak to you all soon.
