Flew from Auckland down to the South island, landing in Christchurch with Matt and Angela. Could certainly feel the temperature changes! Spent the day exploring Christchurch and its suburbs (house hunting!) and finding the BEST breakfast bar possible! Writing this a week late, yes i've been back today and am contemplating going tomorrow! I set off on my own for a week the next day heading south for Queenstown. The most breathtaking journey through the Southern Alps, over Mount Cook, things that I'll never forget. Arrived in Queenstown and within minutes could tell the place had a great vibe. In my eyes it doesn't get any better than Queenstown, as I keep saying to people, it ticks all the boxes! The most beautiful place u could imagine, with loads of cool stuff to do and an awesome night life! Unfotunaltely for me i had little time and little funds! Luckily found an awesome hostel and made some really good mates in only a few days. Within about 2 hrs was enjoying the free BBQ and getting hammered in the snow! My eyes lit up when the Beer Bong came out...lets just say I made sure everyone got involved! Stumbled out of bed the next day to be greeted with teh most amazing view u could imagine, up the hillside looking over Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables in the background. Took the gondola up the mountain and did this AWESOME luge ride (5 times!) Almost killing myself and others in the process! Went out that night with IRISH IAN! Ended up drinking cocktails out of teapots at 4am, had to be up at 6am for my trip to Milford Sound! A long day but well worth it, Stunning journey there and then an amazing boat journey throught the fiordland, inundated with waterfalls, dolphins etc. So peaceful. Headed back, nackered ready for an early morning leave the next day!
