Greetings from Italy, another glorious sunny day and I am off to the coastal area of Civitavecchia today. I am driving into the Port from Bracciano and meeting with my friend Luca. As I left the motorway I was immediately confronted by an endless blue ocean, a stunning start to the day, the air was also filled with the familiar smell of the coast (but not overpowed by fish, more fresh), which was very welcome as the heat by ten o'clock was sitting at about 28/29...

So, my first time in Italy and I'm heading into Rome with PV and his Family for a day trip, within minutes of looking at the map I can see that wont nearly be enough time but I will definately be making the most of it. We will be getting the train from Bracciano Straight to Rome as the parking can be tricky, and I've been told the train is a double decker so the view is better than by car (not to mention the ticket is only six Euro and this allows travel on Train...
