Smooth transit day. Deirdre dropped us off at Heathrow (Virginia drove) early, smooth flight to Budapest and picked up and transferred to apartment as booked.
Fantastic apartment overlooking a quiet green square and church yet 5 minutes walk from a street full of cafes, bars and restaurants. Spacious with all amenities including Nespresso coffee machine and balcony overlooking the square
Arrived at 7pm then headed out for a drink then dinner. Good food and very modestly priced (about 30% of equivalent price at home eg .5l beer for $1.80)
Cognac on the way home then to bed about 11pm
Already love this city for its laid back atmosphere and food / wine if tonight was anything to go by.
Out and about tomorrow - first stop the fresh food market
