Ok, Meteora? Pretty gorgeous. And it is amazing that those monasteries were built on those cliff structures, talk about a feat of engineering! Pretty much covered the whole town and surrounding area today though so now I have to decide what I'm doing tomorrow. Right now I'm torn between just doing Mount Olympus and then carrying on to Thessoloniki, or making a major side trip to the Zagorohoria and ending up in the far flung village of Konitsa... Ok, so the plan was Karpenisi through Lamia for some more hiking in what was supposedly Greece's 'Swiss Alps' town. Bull. Got there, turned right around. It was basically a very small s***ty looking bad part of town Edmonton. Ok, so beautiful surroundings and probably some gorgeous hikes...I still wasn't staying there. Awesome hike, and I didn't even get lost once, so I was definitely pleased by that. Back at the room by 3, shower and now some down time before finding dinner. On to Lamia tomorrow, arriving just in time for the Saturday market!
