Alright people, been an eventful few days as usual, We done a war museum in Ho Chi Mihn which was seriously interestin. They had loads of actual photos from the U.S Nam war which some were brutal to see but interestin at the same time. There were all the weapons on display there that were used and had details about where they were used and what they were capable of doin, they were locked in a glass show case and this was only 2 days after I was at the shooting range where we managed to fire nearly all of them between us so made it even more decent to say we'd shot the ones on display. The second night we was in Ho Chi Mihn we was sat on the street havin a beer and some food, they put matts down on the floor and you just mong out there listnin to the music comin out from all the pubs along the street and watchin the nutters tearing down the street on their motorbikes in the hundreds it was like the Brighton Mod run, crossing the road was lethal. We was just finishin our beers when we heard a bang and people shoutin and we looked over and some bike had crashed into a pushchair which had a baby in it, the pram was thrown a few feet and was on its side and matey on the bike was on his ass tryin to pick his bike up it was nasty stuff but luckily the little nipper was ok just shaken up and crying, the mum was hysterical and picked the baby up and checked him over then the baby's old man picked up a chair and chased after him screamin and swingin the chair and the old bill was there in seconds as they were scoutin the streets and they were tryin to calm him down but the geezer on the bike was shouting and arguin aswel. We jogged on to the pub opposite to watch the footy and after bout half hour it was still kickin off only by this point half the street was joinin in on the ruck by now so they had to shut the shutters to our bar as it turned into a mini riot ha crazy. We done a day canyoning In Dalat which was bangin. There was 2 dry cliffs we abseiled and 2 waterfall abseils they were all 18-20 meters and at the end there was an 11 meter free jump into a fresh water lake. It doesn't sound high but trust me it was, you had a choice of doin the 11 metre jump or if you bottled it you could climb down to a ledge that was 7 meters, the 7 metre jump was for pussys said the instructor ha so the 11 meter jump you had to get a fair run up as you had to clear the ledge at 7 mtrs that stuck out a few metres so if you dint get enough speed up you'd be mashed any mangled so was a real heart pounder! We all done the 11 and no one was hurt so was all good! The hardest one was one of the waterfall abseils as the rocks were like ice and the people before us were slippin and doin they're faces knees and backs in so we were all poppin nuggets watchin them and had butterfly's by the time we were up. It was 20 meters and the water was so powerful and heavy pushin you down, the first 5 mtres was the slippery rock part where you could only shuffle ya feet a few centimetres at a time until you get to the vertical drop where you had to lean back at 90 degrees and then you had the full wrath of the water smashin ya face in and could hardly breath then after a bit you could just about see the bottom if ya turnt ya head away from the oncoming water, then ya carry on down till 5 metres off the water below then ya had to jump backwards parallel to the water as the water was too strong to continue to abseil down but if you just dropped down you'd hit the bottom as the water wasn't that deep so you had to kick off the waterfall to get far away from it but in the reverse clingsman position to get more body surface area so you landed parallel to the water so you dint hit the bottom, everyone had the shakes after that one!! When I was at a Buon Ma Thuon I rode an elephant through a big lake, it took about half hour to get to the other side and in the middle it got so deep that the elephant was completely underwater and his truck was pokin out the water, I had to stand up and the water was up to my shins and my seat floated I had one hand holding my phone up in the air and the other on my seat to stop from floatin off ha. Then we took a trek through some corn fields and some boggy marshes then we took a tree boat back to the town centre, it was basically a big tree just hollowed out and the bird steered with a massive bamboo pole. When we done journey from Buon Ma Thuon to Quy Nohn we got up at 4:30 in the morning and we was cooked by the time we got there, our bus had another blowout on the way so we had to change the tire in the middle of this bridge and there was no air and was bout 2pm so the sun was givin it the large it felt like we was in the dessert. The whole journey the driver had his music on full whack playin a Vietnamese orchestra live in concert and I reckon the Nam bird singin was bein touched up by the sound of it as she was like a howlin mouse cat on acid, that's the only way to describe it. This was no problem for me as I had my earphones so had me own tunes on the go but when we arrived everyone was moanin bout the music he was playin sayin they were sick of it, so next mornin when we headed of to Hoi An i already squared the digs up and got me passport so waited on the bus for the others to pay up, so I said to the tour geezer Dang I can't hear the music back here mate can you turn it up please man, so he turned the squealing sheila up with the backup of her band Ron Burgundy and the tone deff brass blowers. Then the rest of the group dropped there bags in the trunk of the bus and came round to the door to get on, took one step in and shouted uh naa not again along with other words I can't put on here ha they looked deflated and one bird threw her toys out the pram and stormed off to grab her ear plugs out her bag, I whacked me tunes on and got me head down for the 8 hour journey to Hoi An, then later on Dang came to the back of the bus and see I had me earphones in and woke me up laffin sayin you b****** ha. There was a big earthquake in Chiang Rai/Mai last week a 6.3 jobby killing one and injuring loads more, it brought down buildings and damaged a temple there which has been continuously worked on for the past 18 years and inside they were still painting the mental murals with crazy detail when we was there only 5 weeks before, now it's been shut and works stopped and they said it's possibly beyond repair so we was lucky to get there in time as to be fair although I've seen enough temples to last this life and the next it was the best temple of them all it was a quality one. This Sunday will mark me 11th week away which seems mad as it don't seem that long ago I was wavin goodbye to me mummy and daddy at gatwick ha. Were hittin it hard in Hoi An tonight and I'm gonna try get me wig tidied up somewhere tomoro so I'll prob look like I did in Nam back in the days ha, catch ya later, guitar hero
