The bus on the morning was pretty funny as the boys were severely hungover. On the way to Wanaka we stopped at beautiful Lake Mathieson. Its amazing. The reflections off the water were out of this world. It was so gorgeous anyone would like to have a holiday home overlooking it. There were mountains in the background and the water was like a mill pond, still as still can get. We also stopped at some waterfalls which were also very pretty. We arrived in Wanaka and Steve (aka Sharon) told everyone that if you go down to the lake at 5:30pm you can feed dolphins but he also said that you need to buy peanut butter bread as that is what they like to eat. A lot of people fell for it but why would dolphins live in a lake????!!! Of course they dont but quite a few people went down to the lake and also went into the bakery and asked for peanut butter bread to feed the dolphins....classic! Our driver was such a wind up merchant, it was hilarious. We had a nice wander around the town and went to see the lake. It is such a nice place and it's where most of the Kiwis have their skiing holidays. We were only staying there one night until moving onto Queenstown. The hostel, Base, we stayed at in Wanaka was amazing, it was brand new and the showers were out of this world....little things that make your day better! We were all shattered from previous mad nights so we had an early night so that we were refreshed for Queenstown..party central here we come!
