Well its finally time to visit the ranch and for Vicky to be quiet about riding haha We arrived at silly o'clock in the morning due to the night bus and an early pick up!
And after tucking in to some much needed breakfast, it was time for me to get back in the saddle after a good few years!! Ouch my bum hurt! but Clio looked after me well and it certainly made us realise that we love the hobby!!! So two hours + in the saddle definitely gave us an appetite! you may notice that our days tend to be planned around food! hehe
After lunch it was time to learn how to ride a motorbike, yup peeps we went on motorbikes!! and we are both well up for buying one when we get back....... NOT!!! it was certainly a good laugh but not knowing if/when I am going to fall off isnt much fun! After a couple of hours explriing, it was time for dinner and bed. The early morning had certainly taken it out of us!
Day2: ANother early start and time for another 2 hour ride! unfortuanetl I turned round and went 'cos of my stupid back but im pretty sure vic enjoyed herself! When they finally returned , yup you guessed LUNCH TIME!!! even filled myself up on seconds this time!!
SO ye, after that we enjoyed some mroe time on the motorbikes and got taken to Wallaby hill where you can see the majority of the farm. Great to see from a different perspective! Good old Trever looked after us well and took us around the 7km bike track to fight with cows and run them over! (obviously joking!!)
Now actually dont think i have looked forward to food quite so much as we did dinner that night... ROAST BEEF!!! nom nom nom... Olive (lady who runs it) actually is an amazing cook! and she kept us going with her cookies and cake too (not that i think 4 peieces at a time was really allowed but hey!)
Our last day and we went for our final ride of our 3 days. numb bums all round I think this time! it was amazing how many kangaroo's we actually saw in the wild, but luckily no snakes!
It was then time to learn how to crack a whip.... sounds easy but believe me after hitting myself in the face with it, not so much! But we finally got there and there was a secret weapon that all of us girlies used! Just imagine someone you very much dislike, and you soon get the cracking noises!!
Anyhoo, sadly it was time to leave to catch our bus to Airlie beach! We had an amazing time and met some really cool people so hopefully we will catch them furtehr up the coast too!!! We have some awesome pics of kaga's and things so when I have more time, I will certainly share with all!!!
But for now..... we are waiting for our boat trip to Whitsundays... just hoping a) it doesnt rain and b) I dont get sea sick as we're on the blasted thing for 3days!!!!! xxx
