Gilli T was amazing!!! Lots of lively people and ended up staying in a little room in the middle of the island. We were hoping that the 850,000rupees a night was for us but after considering it further, the shed was way better than the hot tub, double bed and private pool!
The main form of transport being horse and cart, wlaking or cycling, it was pretty much dodge the tourist! Though our first experience of horse and cart was one hell of a ride!!!
We managed to hire some 'top class mountain bikes' whilst on the island.... of course these were not top class, but no brakes and 007!! Vic nearly crashed in to me many a time and it was onlu when i tried to use her bike that i realised she genuinely had no brakes!! haha. Trying to cycle around the island on sand was very much an effort!!! I see not how the locals actually manage to do this and between the fits of giggles and f-ing and blinding, it was actually easier to push the darn thing!!
Vic seemed to draw the attention of the locals which meant that the drinks we ordered... werent just Indonesian measures, they were flirt measures too!!
Between nursing hangovers, dancing with the locals and generally having a blast, we managed to hit the beach everyday to top up the tans.
Time to head to Gilli Meno!!
