We finally left Gili Meno for the final time though we actually felt like this was now our home! After living in the cheap accomodation since we arrived, we decided to splash out a little on a room with a TV, bath and air con rather than a tatty old fan that just pushes the hot air around! We thought this was actually luxury!
SO it was time to see our first propper monkeys (other than Vic of course) The Ubud Monkey temple!! ANd I have never been so petrified of an animal as i was of these darn things attacking me and stealing my things!! sunglasses and camera was well put away after seeing these items being stolen from other people!! But they were actually pretty cool and we didnt need to run from them, purely because the staff and everyone else were feeding them and this was a big distraction from our beautiful faces
So it was soon to be my quarter of a century birthday and i felt the need to do something vaguely interesting for it... so we went elephant riding! Good old Roma (the Elephant) managed to take our hefty weight and we had a jungle ride around the forest! A weid experience and felt like we were kinda in the jungle book and we couldnt help but sing (or atleast try to!)
I have to say, it was a birthday that i will remember..... along with the following night (JUST!!!)
