Day 3 and I was totally zombified this morning. Felt horrendous... but I powered through. Posted my first postcard and went back to the artists square for a bit. Had a jam AND CHEESE sandwich for lunch. felt very spoilt. Then went into the centre with Maia in search of the Opera house. After that we visited the Galeries Lafayete, which is a massive, 7 story high, and suuuuper expensive shopping mall. I swear there was more perfume than air in that place! Was a pretty cool view from the top though. Then walked down through the centre, crossed the river and found a BEAUTIFUL but very unappreciated church, on our way to find the Musee de Rodin. Went on a very long food hunt after that. Museum roaming is hungry work!! I have to say that unfortunately it was pretty cold by this point, BUT we found a grid on the pavement with hot air coming up out of it, and since we were both in shorts an vest tops, we decided to tramp-it-up and sit on it for a while. Went to see the eiffel tower light show at 10 only to find out that because of the crappy weather it had broken! What a jip!! Anyway, had fun with a bottle of wine and a camera, then came back to the hostel... Last day in Paris tomorrow, eek! xx
