Ok day 2... even awesomer! Started the day at the louvre, the queue was unreal but was definately worth it Saw the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo and a bunch of other really bizarre things. Then walked through the Jardines des Tuileries and had a jam sandwich for lunch. Yum. Walked all the way up Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe. View from the top was aweeeeeesome. But my camera was running out of battery so I haven't got many decent shots from up there :( After that I fumbled my way to the Eiffel Tower and was promptly bombarded by people sellig mini eiffel towers and beer. It was like being at a theme park. Still pretty impressive though, i'll give it that. After a rest in the sun I wandered along the Seine to try and find something to fill the late afternoon with. Found a real unexpectedly cool museum. Couldn't tell you much about it, was pretty wacked by then, might go back again tomorrow for a more awake look. After wandering around aimlessly I decided to head back to the hostel. The weather, however, had other ideas. I have hoinestly NEVER seen rain like it before in my life. I was soaked head to toe in about 10 seconds. It was AWESOME. The roads were flooded within about 5 minutes and I had to wade thruogh at least a foot of running water to get to the metro. So. Much. Fun. Dryed and showered, now timefor the pub crawl... xx
