Well the family trip to Devon has commenced! I can't remember the last time we went away as a family so this should be interesting...especially as Chris isn't with us and Lim is!
Dad drove which was nice and the journey was fine on the whole. However we stopped for a short break just past Basingstoke and rejoined into solid traffic. An hour later we had moved just 4 miles. Ah well such is the risk of a staycation!!
The B&B is quite nice (http://www.grosvenorhousehotel.co.uk)The parents room is huge! Turns out it's a family room. Once checked in we headed down to the harbour to meet up with Chris and Christy who are on the final day of their holiday.
We had a lovely fish and chips at the Harbour before they had to head off for the long journey home.
We carried on exploring after they left and discovered that Torquay has a really lovely town centre and it's much bigger than we expected. The B&B is only a 10min walk to the seafront so we'll do more exploring tomorrow.
An early night is called for after a busy week and long journey. So far so good
