We returned to Sydney from Melbourne ready to give the city one last go before we left Australia's fair shores. We decided after we had both been ill in Melbourne that we should take it pretty easy so we slept alot and spent lots of time doing what we do best.....shopping! We also took the opportunity to go to the cinema to see 'Australia' which was amazing, made both of us a bit teary! We made a last trip to the beach on the day the temperature was supposed to reach 44 degrees! Luckily we got some quality beach time and then the storm clouds rolled in and we were forced to leave, probably the best thing for us in that temperature! We also headed back to Coogee to say goodbye to everyone there, had a small send off at The Palace which was very enjoyable, even if the wine turned out to be goon after all!
One evening we decided to go to the Moonlight Cinema which is a big open air cinema in Centennial Park. We took a picnic and rented beanbag chairs when we got there so that we were a bit more comfortable. It was a really enjoyable evening, the atmosphere was really good and the film, Burn After Reading, was good.
We did some last minute souvenir shopping at the Paddy's Markets which was full of all sorts of tat but some little gems hidden amongst it all. Of course the Ugg boot dilemma continued, should we or shouldn't we? at the time the decision was no we shouldn't, but there's still time to buy!
