We've spent the last two days in Toronto, staying at "Chez Ting Ting". Each morning Robyn and I have sought out the closest Starbucks as the Lady of the House (Liyan) cooked us a breakfast of curly fries, bacon and eggs (yummy). It's the best (and cheapest) hotel I've ever stayed at.
We started our trip with a girl's night (as Pauley was out of town) and Leah and Rebekah came over for pasta, gossip and wine. The girls and I were able to stay awake until 10pm, which was very good, considering we'd just come in from Rome that day and it was 4am in Rome.
Yesterday we celebrated Liyan's 30th birthday with mani & pedi's and then headed to Amaluna (Cirque du Soleil). We then headed for dinner and live music at Joe Mama's with Pauley, Gordon and Wendy. The girls and I hadn't quite recovered from our jet lag and needed to leave around 11:30pm.
Today we spent the day lazing aroundd the house, then went to the gym foe the first time in 3 weeks (it was not the easiest thing). We came back and got all dolled up for night out ont he town. Seeing as it was also Gordon's 30th birthday, we headed for dinner, followed by drinks at a wine bar and dancing all night, hanging out with friends we haven't seen in over a year. Liyan got a fabulous red velvet cake with a picture of Freddie Prince Jr (which she treasured the entire night). We got back to "Chez Ting Ting" at 1:30am, hoping for a decent 3 hours sleep before our 5am wake up call (our flight leaves at 7am :s ).
We've had some classic quotes, but the best one so far was Robyn saying "I don't wanna be a girl anymore" as she's walking to the club in a teeny tiny itty bitty dress.
Tomorrow we head home with mixed emotions as we don't want our vacation to end, but we do want to see loved ones we've missed over the past three weeks.....
