We left Switzerland this morning bright an early after having said our heartfelt goodbyes to Jay and Celia. We settled on the train, ready for our 6 hour ride. Having only slept 5 hours the night before we each took turns napping on the train.

We arrived in Milan around 1pm and grabbed an Italian panini, validated our passes and hopped on the train to Venice. Unfortunately our train was delayed and we sat at the platform in a pretty Italian city. Having finally arrived in Venice we sat on a patio and grabbed a cappucino and pruscuttio and melon. We checked in to our quaint appartment in the heart of Venice.

Having finally settled in to Venice we walked around the city and got lost withing 2 minutes. It's what you do in Venice. We finally found our way around and found a cute little Italian restaurant. I had my first pasta dish in Italy, black ink spaghetti. We were excited because Genny was finally arriving. While we were waiting at the station we had our first gelato of the trip.

Today was a relatively mild day. Tomorrow we're touring Venice and getting lost some more....
