Well what a day we had yesterday!! We woke up and ventured out to find the eiffel tower...we managed to catch a bus (the right one) there, which was much cheaper than it wouldve been to take a taxi or get a ticket on a tour bus...not even 2euro each. so we arrived at our stop, Ecole Millitaire and we walked down to the tower, it was such a lovely day, we took lots of photos as you can see.

On the way down of course Carly decided she was hungry, we stopped at a small food stall where we ate a ham and cheese roll, the bread here is so beautiful! I wish i could bring some home! As we sat and ate we were entertained by alot of tiny birds and a few big ones who we threw some bread and they were going crazy! the little birds were too fast for the big ones so the big ones missed out most of the time, poor things! After we ate we continued walking, we met a lady who approached us with "do you speak english?" and then held up a sign saying "i am from bosnia and i dont have any money and i am sick and blah blah blah..." we ended us giving her 5 euro....only to find on the other side of the tower there were about 5 others doing exactly the same thing, when they asked us if we spoke english we said no!!! we knew the first one was a scam anyway but i bet they are making a mint!!!

Under the tower we were approached by a man who wanted to draw us, he was nice enough and the picture was cute so we bought it, i thought it was a bit expensve, 40 euro, but who cares, its a nice little memory :) Another man asked us about 10 mins later if he could draw us and we said no we already have a drawing, but he was trying to tell us his would be better or something, they are very pushy here!!!

We decided to go up the tower, I chose the stairs (it was cheaper) half way up i regretted that decision! gosh i was so tired! what a workout that was! we finally got to the first level and it was lovely, lots of things to see and info boards to read. there was a small movie to watch as well. we didnt eat upstairs but we went to the souveneir shop and bought some things, a snow globe for work of course, a magnet for mums fridge and a postcard for khadija :) will post it when we get back to london.

After the tower we found another bus stop to take us into where more shops are, i wanted to buy a bikini so i could have a swim at the hotel pool. we found a nice lingerie shop which sold swimwear as well so we went in. it was good prices so we bought a few things. after that we were both exhausted so we came home. we went to a chinese restaurant down the road and bought some dinner. we ate back in the room and then i got ready for a swim.

The pool was so nice, it was heated and had a waterfall thing in it. we have some pics of that so i will post later. we have just woken up and i want to get ready for breakfast and maybe a massage if i am lucky :P i really really need to get my nails done but if we dont find a place here it is gonna have to wait! anyway better get dressed and head downstairs, im not sure what time is check out so i will ask them.

Our flight tonight is at 7pm so we have ages to get to the airport. will probably just get a taxi, being 2 of us it is cheaper that way than catching the airport bus. ok love you all, hope everything is fine. hopefully we will call you soon from london (mum dad and christie)
