BURR! Germany is cold! We saw some extraordinary things today. The Dom (The Cathedral) is truly magnificent. I can not even describe the massive structure and the pictures don't even really do it justice. It is amazing how much time, effort, and immense detail and ornamentation was put into this house of the Lord. Hey just wanted to let you all know that we are here in Koln(Cologne), Germany. The hostel we are staying in is very nice, more like a B&B. Our train ride from Amsterdam to Koln was smooth and uneventful. We even figured out the Koln Underground! We will update more when we get back from our first outing into the city.

Hey ya'll! As you may have seen already from the pictures, we rented bikes (extremely popular form of transportation in Amsterdam) today and followed the Amstel river out of the city. Today we took a 3 hour tour through Amsterdam, learning about the history and culture. It was a lot of fun and very educational. The culture is very laid back, and has really always been that way. The Dutch really have always tried to focus on being tolerant of other cultures, religions, people, habits, and ways of life.
