We landed in Cairns on the 11th of March and it was HOT!! Once in the hostel we went for a walk around. Cairns is a much smaller city, low buildings and right on the sea. The first day we spent organizing our time here which was a brilliant idea. It felt so good to know that the next week was organized.
Our first full day in Cairns was spe…

Just returned from London after spending over 11 hours in hospital waiting rooms because doctors running late! NHS needs some good project managers and organisers, it's hopeless. However, results are looking good and Charlie is very fit. We had a couple of days in Brussels, great place but very expensive whilst exchange rate bad. I have some fab chocs though! Glad you managed to see the rain forest, but how about Kuranda? Much drier in the red centre, and a great adventure. Don't know how Brian managed to ride his motorbike so far across the outback. We're off to Cornwall for a few days next week, and looking forward to Alan and Carol coming to stay for Easter. Then we're of to the Carribean ( after another london hospital visit). Have a great time in the centre, love P and C

Yo guys! How are you doing? Thought it's about time that I started writing on your site :) It was really nice talking to you the other day and looking forward to hearing from you again to hear what you've been up to. Spring has finally arrived in Paris and it's beautiful I tell you. Are you already in Cairns? Have fun bush whacking when you manage to get out of the city - make sure you find out what's edible so you can munch on bush food. Anyway, I should be going - see you soon :)

Glad to see you have updated the captions to the photos! Last time I looked a monorail did not have cute fury paws :) I will look at Facebook when I get home as I can't access it at work :(
Tony - You need a haircut! Clare - How do you always look fab in photos?
Have a safe journey to Caines. Love Jen x

Hi you two intrepid explorers! Fab photos of the Hong Kong light show, much better than the ones I almost took (Having first imbibed in free gin on the dragon boat). Enjoy Brisbane, it's more laid back than Hong Kong and Sydney and will give you a chance of the rest you both deserve. I'm cooking Cornish Pasties (real ones of course), I promise to make you both a monster pasty each when you return. Lots of love to you both. Charlie and Pretoria

Oz photos look great, although the script does not match the picture, Blonde moment? My bike dying, at the moment, shame Paseo laid up. Went out on town sat, slightly drunk but was a fun night in a wierd way. Pick up that Tissot watch ( GP one ) if you do HK on your way home........
Dad Alan
Hi U2, At the moment walking in a warm damp forest sounds like my kind of thing, so much better than cold windy snowy weather! That rucksack looks bigger than you in the pics Clare. Hope you're both now having a nice time with Shirley & Ken? Love Dad + Mum + Coco + Drew
