Well, Melbourne was short lived. The weather was much the same as England. Wet and windy, with a few sunny days in between. The jobs we were doing; a nightmare!!!! So, we decided to book ourselves a cheep flight to Cairns, for some sun & a bit of an adventure!! Spent the first few nights in a hostel just out of town. Handed out a few CV, hoping to get a job and stay in Cairs for a few months but that didnt happen (wrong place at the wrong time). So we decided that Cairns would be a 2 week holiday!!! We moved to a nicer hostel, right in the centre. We hired a car for a few days, and explored the area. Saw some beautiful place; Trinity beach, Palm Cove, Barron falls, Josephine Falls (where we went swimming), Cairns Zoo, Port Douglas, Cathedral & Curtain fig tree, Crawfords lookout etc.
We also had a few crazy night on the town! Went on the "Ultimate Party pub crawl'' Starting point: Rhino bar, 6.30pm!!! Few drinks there, and then we hopped on the open top bus, and were driven to the next destination. Few more drinks in there, and then, back on the bus, for venue #3!! Visited 5 bars in total, ending up in a club! V funny night. The open top bus was a right giggle! Music pumping out of the speakers, people screaming! It was like being on a fairground ride! Played some funny games during the night. Woz a bit like being on an 18-30's holiday!! Arrived home about 3am. As you cn imaging, we had sore heads the next day!
