Well, the second leg of our journey has come to an end. Hong Kong and New Zealand ..............DONE!! Arrived in Melbourne yesterday. We are staying in St Kilda, 5 min walk from the beach and in a lively area with some nice bars (checking them out tonight!)
The last blog I added was when I Was in Franz Josef. That seems so long ago now! Since then we have visited lots of places on the South Island. We made our way down the West coast, stopping in Nelson, Greymouth, Franz Josef, Queenstown, Milford Sound, Dunedin, Lake Tekapo, Christchurch. In Franz Josef we did an 8 hour glacier hike. Unfortuately it was raining for the majority of the day but it was still an amazing experience. I was shattered after the hike and was ready for a nice warm shower!! Queenstown was one of my favorite places so far. We stayed there for a week. We had lots of big nights out, went skiing, wet on a high speed jet boat throught the canyon on the shotover river. We also went on a day trip to Milford Sound. We went on a boat through the Fiords. The weather was beautiful and the views were amazing. We have spent the last 4 days in Christchurch. Yesterday we went to see New Zealand V South Africa at the Jade Stadium. At the beginning of the match we got stopped by a TV crew and asked to have a "dance-off" with one of the presenters of the show (to show that there was a roaring atmosphere around the ground!!). We had already had a few beers at this point so we took center stage!! It was going out live on the rugby channel in NZ!! It was all a bit of a laugh but glad no one saw it because we must have looked like right idiots!! Anyway, the match was good. NZ were a bit crap in the frist half but steped up the game in the second half. The highlight was seeing the Haka at the beginning. After the game we hit the town till early hours of the morning!!
So, were in Melbourne. The job hunting has started! We also need to find somewhere to live for a couple of months. Shouldnt be a problem. Its pretty quiet here at the moment. Will get much busier when summer arrives!!
