We made our way down to the seal colony this morning and did a nice walk all around the peninsula. We made our way past many cows and many cow pats before coming back along the beach where we had to hurry a little so that we didn't get trapped by the tide. We were back at the van eating some lunch when we bumped into Mark and Lois again, the couple who we had met in Franz Josef about a week ago. After a quick chat we arranged to meet later for some tea.
Back at the campsite we spent a good hour practising our trampooline skills before going out with Mark and Lois. Tea was fabulous! A fresh seafood bbq right on the beach. We had scallops, mussels, whitebait and fish - it was great and only about £10!
We then went out for some more beers in town and at 2 in the morning when it was below freezing outside and dressed in flip flops and tee shirts we made the 1-2 km walk back to the campsite. Bloody Freezing!
