had a good first full day in prague. up for 930 (unplanned but amazingly it happened!) and headed straight across town to prague castle, stopping for coffee and breakfast on the way. managed to get to the bridge ok (which btw, is so beautiful i almost cried!) but got lost on the other side of the river and ended up in a hotel beer garden (erm, i dunno, dont ask me to explain!) but we got to the castle ok. bit dissapointed to find that theres no actual castle, but the cathedral that is there more than makes up for it! the whole city is so beautiful its taking a lot of willpower to keep the camera in the bag! after walking round there, we walked back to the hostel (the long way round, of course!) and had a coffee and got ready before heading out for a meal and a night out. the meal was nice, and easily affordable, but didnt realise there was an additional 15% service charge automatically included. tried to argue the point that the service was actually crap but they were having none of it so had to pay in the end. found an irish bar which serves cider, but unfortunately it works out at 4 pound a pint, so wont be going there again! on to a nightclub after that (huge!). spread over 5 floors so there was something for everyone. met some guys we knew from the hostel there so had a few drinks with them (i stuck to water and iced tea before anyone says anything!). headed back to the hostel around 3 (the place was open til 5), but got lost on the way so it took a while to get back here. and now am on my way to bed! night night!
