It's soo hot! I think in our first blog we mentioned hot showers were a luxury that we would miss, but now all we hope for is water cold enough to offer some relief from the sweltering heat. Even then, by the time we shower in the luke warm water and dry off, our faces are instantly covered in sweat again. The ocean isn't much cooler either...I think its time to spend the extra few bucks on A/C! Island life is pretty chill, not much to report....we are currently...

We had about 10 hours to kill in Bangkok before our bus/ferry to Koh Toa, so we headed straight for our favorite place - Terminal 21 mall! Free wifi, amazing bathrooms, good food, and air conditioning made for a great place to spend 10 hours :) We even went to a movie (Safe House in English) it was really good, and the chairs were very comfortable too. Then we spent some time around Koh San road drinking Singha beer and eating red curry before another long journe...

So we had a few free days in Chiang Mai before visiting the elephants so we took in a Muay Thai boxing match which was good fun to watch, its really hard to tell the ages of the people over here but they all looked so young! The distance between Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang is only 180km, so why does it take over 7 hours you ask? Well it's just like driving through Golden, BC except way worse and for 7 hot hours going way too fast. We were about an hour away from Luang Prabang when 2 fellow passengers realized they were on the wrong bus going in the wrong direction - BRUTAL. In Cambodia and Vietnam we felt like you could still feel the peoples pain and resentment from past conflicts....
